Science

Wow! Look at them grow...

We have been keeping an eye on our sunflower seeds and we’re amazed to see that some of them have already sprouted. We will continue to measure them and keep an eye on how they change and grow.

We have planted some giant sunflower seeds to see how plants grow. We are very excited to come back on Monday and see if anything has happened over the weekend.

Animals Including Humans

Year 2 have learned all about different animals and how they grow, and what they need to eat to keep healthy and survive. We organised food into different categories and talked about the importance of a balanced diet. We also went on a field trip to the Lake District Wildlife Park. There, we had the chance to see lots of different animals up close and asked lots of interesting questions.

Living things and their habitats

(WC 28.01.19)

This week in science, Year 2 have been investigating living things and their habitats. We have explored life processes, habitats, mini-beasts and food chains. We loved learning all about our local woodland habitats and habitats from around the world.
