Spring 2

We were all very excited when 'Zoolab' came to our classroom. We got to meet a tortoise, a giant cockroach, an Australian tree frog, a snake, a tarantula spider, and two rats!

World Book Day

We all really enjoyed dressing up as our favourite character from a book to celebrate World Book Day! We enjoyed taking part in lots of world book day-related activities and were very excited to receive our book token which we can exchange for a book at the book shop.

We were very excited when some frogspawn and tadpoles arrived in our class. We looked at them closely using a magnifying glass and learned about the life cycle of a frog. We have kept the tadpoles in a large tank and are learning how to take good care of them. When they turn into frogs we will return them to the pond.

Vets Role Play

As part of our topic on animals, we set up a vets role play in our classroom. We have had a great time pretending to be vets and bringing our pet animals to the vet to be mended. As well as learning about the work of a vet, we have enjoyed playing cooperatively together using our imagination. It has stimulated lots of talk and lots of writing for a purpose!
