UW
Understanding the world involves guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment.
Outside Play
Our outdoor area gives us an opportunity to use natural and man-made materials in our play. We learn how to use construction toys and materials and play cooperatively.
RE Topic - Journeys
Mrs Hopper has been talking to the children about going on a journey and has linked it to our journey to Forest School. We will be looking at the journey of the Good Samaritan and thinking about how our own lives are are a journey as we pass through different events and experiences.
New Life
Mrs Wilson's Class incubated six eggs and they very kindly let us hold the chicks! They were beautiful and made such a delicate cheep!
Spring
We have been out and about looking for signs of Spring. When we came back we planted our own cress seeds, then took them home to eat!
Science
As part of our science work we have been trying to help Incey Wincy Spider make a waterproof cover for his drainpipe. We had lots of materials to choose from, then we tested our ideas. Sometimes the spuder got wet, but we were able to talk about how we could change our design or materials so that they kept him dry.
We've been finding out which clothes are best for all of the different weather types.
