In RE we are learning about Judaism and last week we had a visitor who came into school to talk to us about it. Sheila is a practicing Jew and brought along lots of different artefacts for us to look at. She told us all about the story of Hanukkah and showed us a Menorah, which is a special candle stick used to hold the candles lit during this festival.
Some of the children attempted to make a sound using the Shofar (an instrument made from the horn of a ram) but only Joe could blow it hard enough. This is apparently a real talent as it is a very difficult skill to master. Well done Joe!
