Earth and Space

What better way to end our first week than making marshmallow star constellations. Can you work out which constellations we have made? They look amazing!

The universe in a box! Creating our own box models of the universe to show the different star constellations we can see during the different seasons.

Modelling the movement of the Earth, sun and moon.

Converting media.
(Media will continue converting in the background)

Making our own view finders to test the movement of the earth. We used these to model the earths orbit around the sun.

Using Question Quibble to generate scientific questions about earth and space.

Using a range of different sized balls to show the comparative size of the sun, moon and Earth. We found the closest comparisons were using the gym ball to represent the sun, the marble to represent Earth and a dried pea to represent the moon.

Health Week - W.C 3/9.18

Well what a fantastic start to the new academic year! We kick started our Health Week by learning all about nutrition and how to maintain a healthy balanced diet. We made healthy snacks to enjoy in class such as fruit kebabs, houmous, wraps and pitta pockets.
